    Evidence from archealogical discoveries have shown that there was a history of human existence in Nigeria which has been dated to as far back as 9000 BC. The Nok Civilization (around 500 BC-200 AD) is the earliest known civilization in Nigeria.

    NIGER RIVER

    The Niger River is the principal river of western Africa, extending about 4,180 km (2,600 mi). Its drainage basin is 2,117,700 km2 (817,600 sq mi) in area. Its source is in the Guinea Highlands in southeastern Guinea. The Niger is the third-longest river in Africa, exceeded only by the Nile and the Congo River (also known as the Zaïre River). Its main tributary is the Benue River.

    LONGEST BRIDGE IN AFRICA

    The Third Mainland Bridge is the longest of three bridges connecting Lagos Island to the mainland, the other two being the Eko and Carter bridges. It was the longest bridge in Africa until 1996 when the 6th October Bridge located in Cairo was completed.
